Keswick 08 Update

News No Comments »

150720081.jpg We’ve just finished Tuesday’s late nite here in week 1. We had a guy called Oscar Muriu come to be interviewed. He’s speaking this week in the main tent and told us all about his amazing work in Nairobi. He planted a church of 20 that grew to 3000!!!! Isn’t God amazing! He’s planted even more churches (20 in the last few years). He left us with a few challenges - don’t buy a drink from Smokey Joe’s for one but more importantly he told us to get out there and tell people about Jesus. He also told us him turning to Christ was the best thing he’s ever done and he’s never regretted it. He challenged us all to make sure we do the same, commit our lives to God, and we won’t ever regret it!

Countdown to Keswick!

Just for fun... No Comments »

Just for fun - we’ve put a countdown timer in the sidebar so you can check at any time just how many seconds it is until Keswick starts (by the way, don’t contact us to tell us it’s not quite right, it’s just for fun!).

We’ve put together a little leaflet with all the info for Keswick 08. There’ll be some available at New Word Alive if you’re heading there but we’re not printing loads (doing our little bit for the environment). So, if you really want to see it, you can download it here…

emumusic UK are running a one day music conference at St. Ebbe’s Church in Oxford. Aimed at anyone involved in music: from musicians to ministers, singers, service leader and anyone who enjoys singing in church.

Andy Fenton (band leader in Week 2) will be leading a guitar/seminar workshop.

If you fancy going then check out… http://emumusic.co.uk/conference.html

Also, if Oxford isn’t great for you the good news is that this conference will be repeated up north and in Scotland hopefully later in the year.

You better watch out,
You better not cry,
You better not pout,
I’m telling you why: Santa Claus is coming to town!

Ah this Santa man sounds nice doesn’t – sounds like a bloke who’ll cheer you up if you’re sad, the kind of guy who’s good to have around– I’m glad he’s coming to town!
